We were once dead in our sins, for we lived following the manner of this world, being prisoned by the destructive desires of the flesh and of the mind. Through such cases, we were essentially the heirs of God's wrath. But God, being rich in mercy, for his great love, when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive by faith in Christ. He raised us up and made us sit in the heavenб and He woul show in the coming times the wealth of his blessings for us. By grace you have been saved through your faith, and this is done not by a human, but it is the gift of God: It is not the work of any human, lest anyone should boast. We are God's creation, created for good works, which He ordained that we should do.

You have Jesus Christ himself the cornerstone of your renewed life. On this rock that is the name of Jesus, all spiritual building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord.
